3 Bedroom House Of Character in Wardija, MaltaRef 1

This house was built in 1825 around an open-air courtyard, and every room turns towards it for light and air. The calm of the surrounding countryside seems to settle inside. On the ground floor, a large kitchen with farmhouse warmth sits beside living and dining rooms.

Each share a fireplace and opens onto the courtyard: doors stay open in summer, and life gathers by the hearth in winter. Upstairs, the house reaches over its neighbour. There are three generous bedrooms, and the main one has an en suite and a private sun room.

A second sitting room and a kitchen with dining space make this floor easy to live on by itself. The house has its modern comforts, and they sit quietly alongside the features of its period. Outside, Wardija is a place of fields, rubble walls and quiet lanes, and country walks start right at the door.
